This week's must-try Windows 11 features & tips – Pureinfotech Newsletter #4
You’ll want to try these new Windows 11 features right now.
In this issue, Windows 11 is gaining two new features, including Adaptive Energy Saver mode and the ability to reset the Recall feature on Copilot+ PCs completely. I’m also including the steps to enable the new redesigned Start menu for Windows 11, which is due later this year.
Furthermore, I wrote a new guide to help a specific set of users install Windows 11 without Microsoft Defender Antivirus, and I talked about how long you’ll be able to safely use Windows 10 after the end of support.
🧠 Guides for Windows 11
📍Enable Adaptive Energy Saver mode to improve battery life on Windows 11: This guide will give you all the details you need to know about the Adaptive feature for Energy Saver and how to enable it.
📍How to reset Windows Recall settings and data on Windows 11: In this set of instructions, you will learn the steps to use the new “Reset” option for Windows Recall, which wipes out all of the settings, user data, and disables the feature on Copilot+ PCs.
📺 Microsoft is already testing the new Start menu for Windows 11, and this video will guide you through the steps to enable it. I’m also including an overview of everything new with this new design.
📍How to install Windows 11 without Defender Antivirus: Yes, you can perform a clean installation of Windows 11 without the Microsoft Defender Antivirus, and in this guide, I’m including all of the steps.
My disclaimer is that I don’t recommend ever running a computer without an antivirus, but I occasionally get asked about this process. Use these instructions at your own risk, and it’s assumed you know what you’re doing and you’re planning to use another security software.
📍How long can you safely use Windows 10 after October 14, 2025? Before it’s risky: Although Microsoft will end the support of Windows 10 in October, you can still continue using the operating system. In this new article, I explain what you need to know about continuing to use Windows 10 after the support ends, and what you need to do to avoid being in this position.
📺 If you’re still on Windows 10, I recently also published a video tutorial that shows the different ways you can find the Wi-Fi password on your laptop or desktop computer.

🙏 Your help is needed
❤️ AI search engines are hurting small publishers like me, and ad blockers aren’t helping. As an independent site, producing content takes a lot of work and dedication. Unlike many other sites, there is no paywall blocking readers here, so you can see why your help is needed. With your support, I can continue the work I love doing.
